Our Story
I have always been a dreamer.
At times, I am almost consumed with my inner world where every sense seems to have a pulse of its own.
In 2018, I had an indelible dream…that would not dissolve despite how much time passed after my waking.
As I saw it: a golden pair of afro combs, so gold that they appeared to contain sunlight while the fist unwaveringly clenched a lustrous stone.
The afro comb, a tool for adornment and self-care, represents our rich history. The fist, untraditionally open yet firmly grasping the stone, embodies all of the spiritual and physical riches we carry for ourselves and those who will come after us.
I hope that when you wear Bronze & Wool you remember the strength, depth, beauty and wisdom that are innately within you and we as a people. I hope this reminder is so ornately whispered into your heart and ears.
I too will continue to listen and build upon these inaugural pieces as inspiration takes shape.
